TAKING CUE FROM 80'S NEW WAVE AND THE POST-PUNK SOUNDS OF TODAY, DROVES BLEND DARK IMAGERY AND POP HOOKS TO CREATE A SOUND THAT'S BOTH FRESH AND NOSTALGIC.

In 2021 DROVES will be releasing six track EP 'Nostalgia' with four new singles and a physical hardcopy release in August. With Fletcher Matthews on production duties, DROVES evolve with a new sound, blending punk anthems and dance beats without neglecting their knack for writing powerful, synth-wave hits that draw comparisons to the likes of Foals and The Presets.

FEBRUARY 5TH

The first single 'View' will be released. Pre-save competition and a single launch show will be announced in the weeks prior. Music video will be released 2 weeks after launch. 4 week PR campaign.

MARCH 19TH

Re-release DROVES' extremely high regarded debut single 'Time'. Pitch to Spotify Editorial and keep a solely streaming focus. This one will not be on the EP.

APRIL 30TH

The second single 'Trash' will be released. Pre-save competition and a single launch tour will be announced in the weeks prior. Music video will be released 2 weeks after launch. 4 week PR campaign.

JULY 23RD

The third single 'Lava' will be released. Pre-save competition and a single launch show will be announced in the weeks prior. Music video will be released 2 weeks after launch. 4 week PR campaign.

AUGUST 20TH

Final single 'Operator' will be released along with our EP. Pre-save competition and an EP launch tour will be announced in the weeks prior. 4 week PR campaign.

Since their debut at Yours & Owls festival in late 2018 performing alongside Hockey Dad, Peking Duk and The Jungle Giants, Sydney-via-Wollongong quintet DROVES have released 4x singles and had three tours on Australia's east coast, carving a name for themselves as one of Sydney's most exciting new acts.

DROVES is Phil (lead vox, synth), Taylor (lead vox, rhythm guitar), Tiernan (lead guitar, backing vox), Kyneisha (bass) and Jonathan (drums). With their arena-sized ambition, hook based dance-punk anthems and energetic live performances, the group have caught the attention of triple j, RAGE, NME, The Music, Spotify’s editorial team and Pilerats, who called the band their “favourite new act to come out of 2019”.
