Since their debut at Yours & Owls festival in late 2018, DROVES have toured relentlessly, bringing a high impact live performance that has become a calling card for the quintet. On the back of four singles and three east-coast tours the Sydney based act have earned a loyal following that continue to fill venues to capacity in their hometown.
In the short time that DROVES have been around many industry heavy-hitters have already thrown their support behind the band; Features in NME, persistent airtime on Triple J’s ‘Home and Hosed’, lengthy rotations on Rage and features on massive US Spotify playlist ‘Fresh Finds’ in 2019 mark just a few of the instances in which heads are beginning to turn.
Looking at the close of 2020, and the scope of what 2021 will bring for DROVES, it's easy to understand the excitement gathering for those that have been following the band. The upcoming release of their 6 track EP will feature road-tested pop anthems and blistering punk-dance crossovers alike. Produced by Fletcher Matthews, who has been involved in some of the best recent releases in Australian music, with credits that include CLEWS, Dear Seattle and many more.
